Hello!

Hi! Welcome to the new blog!
So, I am very new to the world of blogging :) but I figured it was time to take the plunge! I started this blog to share my photography, and I appreciate you taking the time to check it out. I have been doing photography for over four years now. It started as a way to capture all those amazing everyday moments with my kids and quickly turned into something I really love. My three boys will always be my biggest inspiration. My little loves are my world!

Everyday I am learning something new. There is so much more to the world of photography than I ever imagined. Researching, reading and watching videos/workshops/tutorials (as well as getting out there and shooting) has really opened my eyes to all the different elements involved in not only the mechanics of photography, but in editing and improving post processing workflow and the crazy amount of work in starting up a business. :) With the support of my amazing family and friends that have encouraged me (and at times given me the little pushes needed), I have decided to make Katy Vetter Photography something real! It is of course an ever evolving process, but today I take the first step! So, welcome to Katy Vetter Photography, and thank you for stopping by!

Family/Children
I specialize in children/family photography. I love getting to know everyone. Finding out how their family works, and what they love is key. The more I know, the more I can connect to them in pictures. That is what really makes it fun.

Maternity, Birth and Newborn
I love photographing people in general, which leaves me open to capturing ALL your moments. I love maternity, newborn and birth pictures. They make my heart happy :) There is such a love and connection for maternity and birth pictures. They are, most times, some of the most treasured pictures people have. Newborn photos take patience and a lot of shhhh-ing :) but, I LOVE them. I LOVE babies, so babies and pictures all in one day? Perfection!

Seniors
I also really enjoy doing senior portraits. They make for some very fun shoots! Senior pictures are meant to capture who you are at a big milestone in your life. I love when I'm able to capture what's important to a person, and what they love as well as who they are.

I can't wait to keep sharing (and get this blogging thing down :) ... ) So, keep checking in!
